Objective

Maintain the catalog of medical study types available in the system (seminogram, fragmentation, insemination, freezing, unfreezing, papanicolaou, colposcopy, etc.).

How the screen is organized

Table with search and the columns: name, key, description, status and actions.

Available actions

• Create type: high dialog with name, key, description and status.
• Edit type: adjust data.
• Activate or deactivate: the type stops being available when capturing studies.
• Delete: requires STUDY_TYPES: ADMIN.

Permissions

• STUDY_TYPES: WRITE to create and edit.
• STUDY_TYPES: ADMIN to delete.

Before starting

• Know the study types that the clinic offers.
• Define the technical key of the type (usually the one reported by the lab).

Step by step - Create

1. Go to Catalogs -> Study types.
2. Click New type.
3. Enter: name, key, description, status.
4. Confirm.

Expected result

• The type is registered.
• It appears as an option in the study type selector when capturing.
• The system shows a success message.

Common errors

Situation	What to do
The type does not appear in the capture	Verify that it is active.
The key is duplicated	Use unique keys per type.

• STUDY_TYPES: WRITE.

• Maintain descriptive and easily recognizable names for the medical team.
• Document internally which capture dialog is used for each type.

Relation with other modules

• Medical studies (Capture): each type determines the specific capture dialog.
• Services: studies are associated with one or more services for charging.
