Objective

Register a new service so it can be scheduled, charged and associated with studies and appointments.

Before starting

  • Have SERVICES: WRITE.
  • Have configured the medical groups to which the service will be associated.
  • Define the base cost and the operational description.

Step by step

  1. Enter the Services module from the side menu.
  2. Click New service (top toolbar).
  3. The creation dialog opens. Enter:
    • Name of the service.
    • Key (optional; if not entered, the system can generate it).
    • Short description.
    • Type (Internal or External).
    • Base cost.
    • Medical group (selector; mandatory; defines the color and availability in the schedule).
  4. Confirm with Save.

Expected result

  • The dialog closes.
  • The service appears in the table with its data.
  • The service is available to:
    • Be selected when creating an appointment in the Schedule.
    • Be charged from Cash box.
    • Be associated with a study.
  • The system shows a success message.

Common errors

SituationWhat to do
The medical group does not appear in the selectorRegister the group from its module before continuing.
The service does not appear in ScheduleVerify that it is active and that the medical group is assigned to a staff member.
Mandatory fields are missingThe system highlights the fields in red. Complete them before saving.

  • SERVICES: WRITE.

Operational recommendations

  • Use clear names that the operational team will easily recognize.
  • Keep the cost updated; charges in Cash box depend on this data.

Relation with other modules

  • Medical groups: the service must be associated with at least one.
  • Schedule: appears available when creating appointments.
  • Cash box: is charged when registering payments.
  • Medical studies: is associated with the corresponding studies.
