Objective

Register a new location (office, room, area) associated with a branch.

Before starting

  • Have LOCATIONS: WRITE.
  • Have the branch created and active.

Step by step

  1. Enter the Branches and locations module and open the Locations sub-route.
  2. The screen shows the list of locations.
  3. Click New location (top toolbar).
  4. The creation dialog opens. Enter:
    • Name of the location.
    • Associated branch.
    • Short description.
  5. Confirm with Save.

Expected result

  • The location is registered.
  • It appears in the list and as an option in the flows that consume it.
  • The system shows a success message.

Common errors

The branch does not appear in the selectorVerify that the branch is active.
The name is duplicatedThe system validates duplicates and shows a specific message. Change the name.

Suggested permissions

  • LOCATIONS: WRITE.

Operational recommendations

  • Use descriptive names (for example: "Office 1", "Waiting room", "Andrology lab").
  • Keep the description updated so the operational team can quickly locate it.

Relation with other modules

  • Patients: the patient's address can be associated with a location.
  • Schedule and operations: locations serve as a reference for care.
