Exclude actor from notification
Objective
Prevent the user who performed an action from receiving the associated notification. Useful when the notification is for other users to review or follow up on the action.
Before starting
- Locate the action in the list.
- Have
WRITEon the Notifications submodule.
Step by step
- Enter the Notifications module.
- Locate the action.
- Open the scope configuration dialog.
- Activate the Exclude actor option (
excludeActor). - Confirm with Save.
Expected result
- When the action is executed, the user who performed it will not receive the notification.
- The other scope recipients will receive it.
- The system shows a success message.

Common errors
| Situation | What to do |

| The actor still receives the notification | Verify that the option is active and that the change has been saved. |
| Nobody receives the notification | If all the recipients are the actor, there are no effective recipients. Add other recipients. |
Suggested permissions
- Write permission on the Notifications submodule.
Operational recommendations
- Activate "exclude actor" in supervision notifications (for example, "rescheduled appointment" or "payment applied") so that the user who performed the action does not receive their own notification.
- Combine with the recipient selection: include the supervisor or coordinator and exclude the actor.
Relation with other modules
- Users: the exclusion applies to the authenticated user who performed the action.
- Audit log: the change is recorded.
